Nano-net structures based on single-layer colloidal crystals arranged by a self-assembling process are periodic nanostructures with a large surface area that can be easily fabricated. We have fabricated ZnO nano-net structures using 200-nm-diameter polystyrene spheres as templates for single-layer colloidal crystals and found that their UV detection sensitivity is improved in comparison with that of thin films. In this study, we fabricated nano-net structures of different sizes and compared them with each other in order to further improve the detection sensitivity.
