We have been developing the instruments for "in situ measurement" with high spatio-temporal resolution using advanced beams (lasers, X-rays, electron beams) for investigating laser induced periodic surface structures. In this presentation, we will introduce the fundamental knowledge of femtosecond laser microstructure formation mechanism, in situ measurement of femtosecond laser microstructure formation using electron pulses and lasers, and its application.
