[16p-A202-7] A frequency tunable terahertz-wave oscillator phase-locked to an optical microcomb
Keywords:Microcomb, Optical microresonator, Terahertz-wave oscillator
A microcomb is expected to be applied to various applications as an integrated and high repetition rate optical frequency comb source. However, its repetition frequency tuning range is generally as narrow as several MHz. In this study, we develop a low-noise terahertz-wave oscillator tunable over a wide frequency range by employing two continuous-wave lasers phase-locked to a microcomb. We experimentally perform continuous frequency sweeps with a sweeping range of more than 300 MHz. We also show that the tuning range can be expanded to more than 10 GHz.
