Surface lattice resonance (SLR), in which the Mie resonance excited in individual nanoparticles oscillates in phase, is excitable in a periodic lattice by radiative coupling via light diffraction. In dielectric nanoparticles, magnetic dipoles, which are difficult to excite in metal nanoparticles, can be excited in addition to electric dipoles, and electric and magnetic dipoles can be coupled with different orders of diffraction. Using this skillfully, we can fine-tune the interaction between the electric and magnetic dipoles. In this presentation, as an example, we introduce the Lattice Kerker effect due to the interference of electric- and magnetic-SLRs and the phenomenon that SLR becomes Symmetry-Protected Bound States in the Continuum (BICs) due to lattice symmetry requirements.
