[16p-A205-6] Dielectric nanostructures for highly sensitive biosensing

Dielectric nanostructures with a high refractive index and a low optical loss have recently attracted considerable attention as an alternative to plasmonic nanostructures. Engineering Mie resonances of the nanostructures from the visible to mid-infrared region allows for highly sensitive molecular spectroscopies (fluorescence, Raman scattering, and infrared absorption). In this talk, we will show our recent progress on field-enhanced spectroscopies using a variety of dielectric nanostructures and these applications for biomolecular sensing.
