[16p-A404-11] Structural order analysis of glass based on rings in a chemically-bonded network
Keywords:glassy material, intermediate-range order
While atomic arrangements in crystals have a long-range order, those of glassy materials seem to be completely random at first glance, but they have an intermediate-range order, which are observed by peaks of X-ray and neutron diffraction experiments. Therefore, the identification of the origin of such structural order and mathematical descriptions of the structural order are an important issue. This talk introduces our developed quantitative evaluation methods of structural order based on the shape of rings and spatial local correlation around rings in chemically-bonded networks. This talk also demonstrates analysis results of various material structures.
