(Bi, K)TiO3 was first reported by Smolenskii et al. in 1959, but has not been fully investigated due to the difficulty in preparing high-quality samples. Our group succeeded in preparing high-quality (Bi, K)TiO3 thin films with polarization axis orientation by hydrothermal synthesis in 2020,. Furthermore, (Bi, K)TiO3-(Bi, Na)TiO3 solid solution thin films were successfully prepared, suggesting the existence of MPB. In this study, we report on the preparation of (Bi, K)TiO3 and CaTiO3 solid solution thin films, attempts to lower the Tc, and evaluation of the ferroelectric properties of the films.
