Compounds with a cubic Th3P4 - type structure are a group of substances that can be replaced with various elements at the cation site and the anion site, and exhibit various function. Our group developed a heater diamond anvil cell (DAC) that enables high-pressure synthesis and in-situ electrical resistance measurement, and succeeded in synthesizing cubic Sn3S4 and observing its superconductivity.
In this experiment, we focused on In3S4 related to Sn3S4. Using heater DAC, In3S4 was synthesized at high pressure, and superconductivity were investigated by in situ electrical resistance measurement.
Superconductivity of start material of In3S4 was observed at 7 K by measuring the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance at 35 GPa . And Superconductivity of Tc = 16 K was observed after heating sample. In the future, we will clarify the substance that exhibit a Tc of 16 K. by X-ray diffraction analysis.
