When Bi2223 and RE123 superconducting tapes are joined by direct heat treatment, non-superconductors such as BaBiO3 form at the interface and superconducting current doesn’t flow at all. In this study, we have focused on the possibility of developing a superconducting joint using La2-xSrxCuO4 (La214: Tc~38 K) as an intermediate layer between RE123 and Bi2223 tapes. Firstly, we prepare a superconducting joint using sintered materials. In the presentation, we will focus on the superconducting properties evaluated by resistivity measurements using a low-temperature physical property measurement system (PPMS).
