▲ [16p-D419-14] Non-linear mode coupling mediated by three-magnon interaction in synthetic antiferromagnets
キーワード:Magnonics, Three magnon process, Synthetic antiferromagnet
In this work, we use synthetic antiferromagnet (SyAF) as a host to study non-linear spin wave processes by driving the system at high input excitations. We excited dynamics in NiFe/Ru/NiFe thin films at room temperature where both acoustic and optical modes are clearly observed. When the condition of three magnon instability is met at sufficiently high input powers, we observed a splitting of the acoustic mode resonance peak which is reminiscent of mode coupling between the two modes. Such mode coupling is attributed to non-linear three magnon processes where an optical mode magnon strongly interacts with two acoustic mode magnons. This study sheds light on non-linear control of magnon-magnon interactions that can be used for magnonic signal processing devices.
