Keywords:Weyl semimetals, Photo-galvanic effect

We have investigated experimentally the dependence of the angle of incidence of a light beam on photocurrent in the WTe2 host crystal (crystal point group C2v) before thinning. The photocurrent gradually increases with increasing angle of incidence, and the difference in photocurrent between left and right circularly polarized light also increases. This is qualitatively consistent with the photo-galvanic effect considering the symmetry of the WTe2 host crystal. In the presentation, we will discuss the results of quantitative analysis of the circularly polarization-dependent, linearly polarization-dependent, Fresnel effect, and polarization-independent components using phenomenological expressions. Polarization-dependent photoelectric conversion functionality will also be discussed in relation to the analyses.
