We have designed and fabricated "MO-SPR" specimens that are simultaneously existing the magneto-optical (MO) properties, i.e., the transversal-Kerr effects, and surface-plasmon resonance (SPR) properties. In the present study, FeSi magnetic thin film was selected as the transversal-Kerr effect layer, while Au thin fim was chosen as the SPR-source layer. The transversal-Kerr effects, SPR propeties, surctures of the specimesn were measured. The sample consited of FeSi (5.0 nm)/Au(17.0 nm) successfully distinguished the difference of distilled water and the 10 wt% of glucose solution.
