[16p-PB03-9] Quantitative analysis of proteoglycan and collagen in intervertebral disc using in situ near-infrared spectroscopy
Keywords:Near-infrared spectroscopy, Proteoglycan, Collagen
To establish a quantitative analysis method for proteoglycans and collagen in cartilage using in situ near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR), we performed quantitative analyses of chondroitin sulfate and collagen by characteristic bands in the NIR spectra. As a result, it was found that the proteoglycan/collagen ratio was obtained from the intensity height of 2nd derivative spectra at 4260 cm-1 and 5800 cm-1, and the proteoglycan/collagen ratio of the nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosis of the chum salmon intervertebral disc was determined.
