[17a-A202-5] Mass resolution of a liquid optomechanical prober using a twin-microbottle resonator
Keywords:Cavity optomechanics, Whispering gallery mode resonator
In sensing using mechanical vibrators, it is important how small the mass of fine particles can be detected (i.e., mass resolution). We found that applying a phase-locked loop to an optomechanical prober consisting of a coupled bottle resonator provides a single-bacteria level of mass resolution. In the future, miniaturization of the device and improvement of the sensitivity of the detection system are expected to lead to the development of ultra-sensitive biochips.
