[17a-A302-1] High-accuracy Electric Vehicle Battery Monitoring with Diamond Quantum Sensor

A prototype electric vehicle battery monitor was fabricated using a diamond quantum sensor. A compact sensor head adhered to the top of a fiber that can be placed on a busbar through which the charging and discharging current of a battery flow, a differential configuration to eliminate external magnetic field noise as a common mode, and integral feedback circuits to track the busbar current (as well as its integrated value) as a set of relative resonance frequency differences (as well as its integrated value) with high accuracy and stability enabled measurement of a wide dynamic range of ±1000 A with a high precision of 10 mA in an unshielded environment.
