An electron-spin double resonance (ESDR) of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond was proposed and demonstrated where radio frequency (RF) fields can be measured by continuous wave measurements. However, the previous studies were limited to the ESDR spectra under the weak RF field and the characteristic phenomena of the EDSR under strong RF remain to be completely elucidated. In this study, we theoretically and experimentally analyze the ESDR spectra for the strong RF field by adapting the Floquet theory which can describe the dynamics even under strong driving fields. As a result, the characteristic phenomena of the EDSR under strong RF are multi-photon resonances allowed by a parallel bias magnetic field. This work can be applied in the Floquet engineering under strong driving fields.
