[17a-D505-1] Evaluation of vibration in non-cavitation ultrasonic-assisted alloy synthesis

We have attempted to synthesize compound semiconductor alloys that can be applied to thermoelectric conversion materials from single elements in powder by ultrasonic irradiation with supplementary thermal assistance. One of the aims of this study is to propose the availability of vibrational energy from a non-cavitation energetic process during ultrasonic irradiation, and to quantitatively evaluate the vibrations. The vibration evaluation methods used were dynamic strain measurements of the sample holder and magnified displacement observation by high-speed photography.
