[17a-PA04-5] Observation of electronic states inside light-emitting electrochemical cells using operando ESR techniques
Keywords:light-emitting electrochemical cells, magnetic resonance
For organic light-emitting devices, no effective method has been established that can directly measure the recombination process under their operations. In this work, we examined EL detected electron spin resonance (ESR) and current detected ESR responses by operando measurement techniques for light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs). LECs have been attracting attention as a post-OLED but there are still many unclear points about the device characteristics. From the obtained results, we investigated the electron-hole pairs generated in the recombination process and considered the electric field environment inside LECs. Additionally, we concluded that LECs under stable operation provide a suitable field for the physical properties of electron-hole pairs to appear.
