In recent years, research on improving plant growth efficiency by simultaneously irradiating plants with far-red light (FR) and red light (R) has been attracting attention, but conventional methods cannot evaluate at what growth stage the plants respond. In this study, we used laser biospeckle method to observe plant activity when plants were irradiated with FR and R at the same time. Experimental results showed that the response to FR and R varied with plant age; the relationship between plant growth efficiency and biospeckle is under investigation.
