The ray-wave correspondence in two-dimensional microcavities is an interesting research topic from a viewpoint of fundamental physics. Lasing modes of microcavity lasers with various cavity shapes have been investigated so far. However, surface roughness is often formed in the fabrication process of the microcavity. In this work, we investigated the effect of the surface roughness on the resonance modes for a circular microcavity using the finite element method.
