[17p-A305-15] Controlling frequency and polarization dependences of complex transmittance using Brewster metafilms
Keywords:metamaterial, Brewster effect, polarization
We propose and verify a method for controlling frequency and polarization dependences of complex transmittance on a linear polarization basis using the Brewster effect in a single-layer metamaterials (metafilms). Because of the reflectionless property of the metafilms, various frequency and polarization dependences of complex transmittance can be designed by simply stacking metafilms. As a proof of this concept, we show that efficient waveplates can be designed intuitively using the Brewster effect in metafilms.
