△ [17p-A403-10] Influence of Surface Texturing on Three-dimensional Flexibility of Single Crystalline Si Wafer
Keywords:Monocrystalline Si solar cells, Monocrystalline Si, Flexibility
Mobile vehicles are expected to be a new application field for solar cells. For aerodynamic performance and design improvement, complex three-dimensional curved surfaces are used in the bodies of automobiles and other mobile vehicles, and solar cells with the flexibility to be mounted on such three-dimensional curved surfaces are required. We have focused on single-crystal Si solar cells with high conversion efficiency and reliability, and have shown that the flexibility of Si wafers improves as they become thinner. On the other hand, we found that the texture structure to improve the optical absorption rate on the Si wafer surface affects the three-dimensional flexibility. In this report, we performed the Ball-on-Ring test to evaluate the effect of texture size and rounding treatment on the flexibility of Si wafers, and measured the flexibility and optical reflectance together.
