Inorganic phosphors have advantages in terms of their robust structure and high heat resistance. However, there are various obstacles, such as the fact that synthesis as powders are not easy. In this paper, two topics will be introduced: a new synthesis method of rare earth oxycarbodiimides and their fluorescent properties, and liquid-phase synthesis and hybridization of upconversion fluorescent nanoparticles for bio-applications, and the possibility of their future application in radiation fields will also be discussed.
