[17p-A501-1] [The 53rd Young Scientist Presentation Award Speech] 1.7-cycle intense pulse generation for attosecond pulse source at megahertz repetition rates
Keywords:ultrafast optics, nonlinear optics, pulse compression
We generated 1.7-cycle and 35-μJ pulses at a 1-MHz repetition rate by using two-stage multi-plate continuum compression of Yb-laser pulses with 80-W average input power. This result is the shortest pulse duration in MHz-order intense pulse source. The beam focusing quality beyond 1014 W/cm2 promises a MHz attosecond pulse source for advanced attosecond spectroscopic and imaging technologies with unprecedentedly high signal-to-noise ratios. In this talk, we will present recent efforts on high-harmonic generation for isolated attosecond pulse generation at a MHz operation.
