We have already reported that a well-organized ultra-thin film of lead iodide-based 2D layered organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (2D LHP) is formed by immersing the LB film of octadecyl amine (ODA) in an aqueous solution containing lead iodide and that it would become a versatile technique to fabricate 2D-LHP ultra-thin films based on various structures and compositions. Here we report on successful fabrications of lead-bromide and lead-chloride 2D-LHP ultra-thin films utilizing the technique. We would like to discuss the structure and properties of the 2D-LHP ultra-thin films based on characterization utilizing XRD, UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, fluorescent spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy and AFM.
