[17p-D215-10] A Study on Optimal Winding Configuration for High-Temperature Superconducting Induction/Synchronous Motors
Keywords:high temperature superconducting induction/synchronous motor, stator winding, ultra-thin wires
The optimum winding configuration was investigated for a high-temperature superconducting induction synchronous motor with squirrel-cage windings. Analytical studies have shown that if a superconducting conductor is used in the three-phase armature winding of a voltage-fed inverter-driven superconducting motor (excluding generators), the three-phase unbalanced currents increase the risk of burnout. That is, it is necessary to apply a conductor that conforms to Ohm's law to the winding, and from the viewpoint of loss reduction that compensates for the skin effect, it is considered important to use ultra-thin wires as conductors.
