Long-chain alcohol gas, which is widely used as a fuel, is toxic and leak monitoring technology is essential for safety. In this study, we used Pt nanocatalysts that promote dehydrogenation of alcohol in the form of (1) Pt nanosheet resistors and (2) Pt nanoparticles decorated on graphene field effect transistors for alcohol sensors. We investigated the impacts of Pt nanocatalyst shape on catalytic performance and a better Pt structure for detecting long-chain alcohol.
