Understanding in-situ molecules’ information on metal oxide (MOx) nanostructure surfaces are essential but challenging. We proposed a new identification method for in-situ compositions of mixed similar aliphatic molecules on nanostructured MOx surfaces by analyzing infrared (IR) spectra via machine learning. This method successfully identified the composition of mixed aliphatic carboxylic acids and amines with different carbon numbers.
