[17p-PA09-20] Development of organic dosimeters using fluorescent products of the radiation-induced reaction of fluorescein and Base generator
Keywords:Dosimeters, Fluorescein, Base generator
In the radiotherapy of tumors, the development of tissue-equivalent organic dosimeters is eagerly awaited. Organic materials that fluoresce after radiation chemical reactions are candidates for instrumentation elements that can meet this demand. In this study, we focused on the chemical reaction induced by the redox reaction of Fluorescein with a base produced by X-ray irradiation of 1-(Anthraquinon-2-yl)ethyl N-Cyclohexylcarbamate. Fluorescein and the base generator were added to polymers, and the fluorescence properties of the products were investigated in relation to the irradiation dose, and the possibility of their use in tissue-equivalent dosimeters was investigated.
