Keywords:optical vortex

When an optical vortex is irradiated into a photo-curable resin, the orbital angular momentum of the optical vortex is transferred to the resin via a photopolymerization reaction, fabrication a self-written polymer fiber. In this study, a weak green laser beam (Gaussian beam), which does not induce photopolymerization, was guided into the polymer fiber and the laser light emitted from this fiber was observed by a CCD camera. The results indicated that the fiber functions as a mode converter that converts the Gaussian beam into an optical vortex.
