[18a-A305-2] Control of Electric and Magnetic Dipole Emission by Purcell Effect of Mie Resonant Silicon Nanospheres

In this study, we aim to enhance and control the magnetic dipole emission of rare-earth ions by utilizing the Purcell effect caused by the magnetic Mie resonance mode of silicon nanoparticles. We have modified silicon nanoparticles with a complex of europium ions (Eu 3+ ) as a probe and measured Mie scattering and emission spectra of single nanostructures. In this talk, we will report the results of controlling the electric and magnetic dipole transition emission spectra due to Mie resonance.
