Keywords:optical parametric amplifier, MIR generation

We have constructed a KTA-based OPA that is pumped by a Ti:sapphire laser amplifier (800 nm, 12 mJ at 1 kHz). The seed is the 1100-nm component of the white light generated from a 4-mm-thick YAG plate. MIR pulses around 3.2 μm are generated at the third-stage OPA as the idler components, whose output energy has reached 370 μJ.
