Mn chain/Si(001) forms by the exposure of Mn onto Si(001)2x1 surface. Mn is a popular magnetic dopant, tehefore the sutucture has attacting and 4 major structure model were proposed. They are on the basis od STM image, and they are very complex structures. We analyzed this stucture with total reflection high energy positron diffraction (TRHEPD).
