Autophagy research is not converging, but rather new discoveries are increasing the number of unknowns. In particular, the various autophagy pathways and their high selectivity called multimode autophagy have become a hot topic. In this session, we would like to introduce the molecular mechanism and physiological function of multimode autophagy and discuss the future research.
