[CS10-09] Estimation of A Tree Position and Trunk Circumference by Structure from Motion / Multi-View Stereo

SfM / MVS attracts attention as a method for 3D modeling of buildings and terrain. In forest management, labor shortage and cost reduction are the issues, and technology utilizing ICT is expected. In this study, we examined the procedure and imaging route to create 3D model of the forest using the photo taken with camera and SfM / MVS software. The accuracy of the scale (tree position, stem circumference) of the created 3D model was verified in comparison with the actual survey results.
