[CS12-67] 3-D tsunami inundation simulation in Shimanokoshi and tsunami response analysis of railway bridges
Keywords:Tsunami inundation simulation, Railway bridge, Tsunami response analysis, 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku earthquake, Shimanokoshi
To evaluate tsunami safety of railway structures, we need to understand tsunami force to structures and tsunami response of structures. Therefore, we performed 3-D tsunami inundation simulation including the former Shimanokoshi station which was completely damaged by Tohoku earthquake. Moreover, we performed 3-D elasto-plastic analysis of frames to the railway bridge using the results of tsunami simulation. The distribution of structure response has a similar tendency to the actual damage; however, we could not reproduce the destruction of the railway bridge. Therefore, we need to extract the tsunami pressure from the 3-D tsunami inundation simulation by more detailed modeling.
