[CS2-04] One Dimensional Consolidation Analysis Taking Account of Secondary Compression

The consolidation-time curves obtained from one-dimensional consolidation tests have been compared with the results of one-dimensional consolidation analysis incorporated with two types of secondary compression models. The results are shown that the consolidation-time curve of clays is affected by the assumption of the coefficient of volume compressibility defined by the primary compression and the problem of similitude for the consolidation of clays exhibiting secondary compression depends on not only the constitutive equation of clay but also the assumption of the soil constants used in the finite differential method.
