[CS2-12] STUDY OF TUNNEL BEHAVIOUR LOCATED IN DIFFERENT SOIL CONDITION UNDER TRANSVERSAL SEISMIC LOAD
Keywords:Mountain Tunnel, Numerical Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Hard Soil, Soft Soil, Soil Intersection
Aside from being assumed to withstand earthquakes for a long time, there are many cases in recent years which show that tunnel can be damaged by earthquakes. Some tunnel damages are located in the soft and hard soil interface. The main purpose of this study is to understand the tunnel structure behaviour in some cases of soil combination under transversal seismic load. Two-dimensional FEM dynamic analysis of mountain tunnel was conducted. From the result of the study, transversal seismic wave in interface soil condition is not the main reason for the biggest bending moment in tunnel lining. However, displacement difference will be more dangerous if the soil has bigger bearing capacity difference.
