[CS2-26] Effects of pre-shear history on repeated liquefaction behavior of dense sand using hollow cylindrical torsional shear apparatus
Keywords:Repeated liquefaction test, Pre-shear history, Dense sand, Hollow cylindrical torsional shear
To investigate the effects of pre-shear history on the liquefaction behavior of saturated dense sand, a series repeated liquefation tests were conducted with applying the hollow cylindrical torsional shear apparatus. In this study, different kinds of pre-shear histories were applyed to the sand specimen before the main undrained cyclic torsional loading. It was discovered that small strain histories seemed to have effects on the immediately following stage of liquefaction test while the large strain history might influence the liquefaction resistance of all the following stages.
