[CS2-35] STUDY ON EFFICACY OF RING ROADS FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT, BY USING JAPANESE’S EXPERIENCES. “CASE OF KINSHASA”

Kinshasa, one of the big cities in Africa, is in need to start for a change of its condition. The last study of the Transportation Master Plan sets out some issues which the traffic jam brings difficulties on the good function of the city. Then, our research tries to analysis the efficacy of the Ring Road in the city by using Japanese’s experiences to point out important and necessary results that will be transferred as technology and solution. From the inspection of different Ring Roads, Nagoya, Utsunomiya and Sapporo and other documentations, we confirmed that the Ring Road could reduce the cross traffic flow and manage the traffic motion in the city center.
