[CS2-38] Compressive Behavior of Low Strength Concrete Confined with Water Hyacinth and Jute NFRP
Keywords:confined concrete, low strength concrete, natural fiber, compressive strength
This study, titled "Compressive Behavior of Low Strength Concrete Confined with Water Hyacinth and Jute NFRP" is focused on the reinforcing effect of confinement using Natural Fiber Reinforced Polymer, NFRP. NFRP is more economical- and environmental-friendly material than conventional FRP, such as Carbon-FRP. In this study, Jute fiber and Water Hyacinth fiber are tested. And this study also aims to investigate the reinforcing effect for concrete having low compressive strength. Knowing compressive behavior of confined low strength concrete enable to continue using existing RC structures.
