[CS8-18] The condition of layered cracks of concrete slabs in Hokkaido

In recent years, it has been reported that sediments and layered cracks occur in concrete slabs of road bridges mainly in cold regions such as Hokkaido and Honshu mountain areas. Layered cracking is believed to be caused by frost damage and alkali-silica reaction, but the generation mechanism and tendency, and the influence on the performance of concrete slabs are not clear. In this report, we report the result of organizing the layered crack occurrence situation of concrete slab in Hokkaido based on the existing survey data.
