Load bearing deterioration of transmission towers due to aging is usually estimated by periodic inspections and numerical analysis. However, since a lot of anxious towers may exist, efficient classification of the deterioration level is inevitably requested. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the practical use of diagnostic techniques on base displacement and unusual vibration member detection of transmission towers.
