On the buckle plate type steel railway bridge, some situations exist where the waterproof layer and protective concrete deteriorate with age, leading to corrosion on the upper surface of the buckle plate and corrosion-fatigue crack. Against these problems, the authors have developed the new repairing method by increasing the thickness of protective concrete by casting ultra-high-strength fiber reinforced concrete (UFC) on the upper surface of the existing protective concrete, suppressing the corrosion of the buckle plate and reducing the stress of the buckle plate. In this study, in order to verify the effect of this repairing method, the loading test using a full-scale girder was performed.
