Structure designers use nonlinear finite element analysis to evaluate shear capacity of reinforced concrete structural walls.In terms of underground external walls, they are applied by out-of- plane force such as soil or water pressure.The paper examines the reasonable examination method of shear capacity by nonlinear finite element analysis.Regarding reinforced concrete structural walls with three sides fixed, the shear capacity of nonlinear finite element analysis with solid elements has ten times of seismic load in comparison with the method of macro expression.
