[I-379] Measurement of corrosion reduction of concrete embedded anchor bolt using electrical resistance method
Keywords:anchor bolt, macro cell corrosion, corrosion reduction, electrical resistance method, 4-terminal resistance measurement method
Anchor bolts, such as road illumination columns and signposts, may undergo macro-cell corrosion thinning at the interface between steel and concrete. The corroded part is a part where visual inspection can not be performed by the nut and the base plate, and it is necessary to remove the light pillars and the signposts for the inspection and to stop the passage of time, which takes time and labor. In this study, aiming at the method of evaluating the amount of corrosion loss under the field conditions, we focused on the change characteristics of the electrical resistance of the anchor bolt and verified the applicability of the electrical resistance changing according to the amount of corrosion loss.
