Basic study on tension force acting on a new wave-overtopping prevention method
We have proposed a simple method for the wave-overtopping prevention. The method utilizes a cylindrical body for the vertical seawalls, the both ends of the body are moored using rope to the seawalls. In this study, we conducted model experiments to investigate the tension force acting on the rope. It was confirmed the tension force on the mooring rope increases as the weight of the cylindrical body increases.
