[II-23] Efficient control method of thick growth of trees by vegetative propagation of willow family plants
Keywords:Riparian trees management, Control of development of thick growth of trees, Willow family plants, Vegetative propagation
We focused on the astonishing growth of vegetative propagation of willows family plants in the Satsunai River. Hypotheses were made on changes in the nutritional status of plants during vegetative propagation and verified by field experiments. As a result, the following was found. After using nutrients inside the plant body, it is possible to promote death and suppress re-forestation by drying the roots and performing second logging. At the stage where the forest was formed, it is effective to carry out the second logging near the ground surface before accumulating new nutrition after vegetative propagation vigorously by logging.
