[II-61] Model Tests on Drift of Container Due to Return Flow of Tsunami

Due to return flow of tsunami, Drifts are swept offshore. Some of drifts sink in the harbor. Sunken drifts will cause problems in transportation of emergency supplies. In this study, model tests were conducted on drift of the container due to return flow of tsunami. The return flow was reproduced using the gate for tsunami wave making. The location of the container was measured along with the water level and the flow velocity. Then, whether or not the reproducibility of the drift position can be obtained for each test was performed a plurality of times under the same conditions, and high reproducibility was confirmed in this model test.
