[III-223] Countermeasures against deformation of slopes where ground anchors were damaged

The heavy rains in West Japan on July 2018 has damaged at West Japan. Many landslide disasters, including large-scale slope failures, have also been reported in Hiroshima Prefecture. The Matsue Expressway also experienced slope deformation due to heavy rain, and the ground anchors installed on the slope of the cut surface broke, but since large-scale landslides did not occur, the traffic closure was restored in a few days.
In this report, we introduce the slope deformation in Matsue Expressway Takano IC, the damage condition of the anchor, the emergency measures and the permanent measures.
